Meeting Notes
G/K DePorter called the meeting to order at 6.30
G/K DePorter led the opening Prayer and Pledge
The floor was yielded to Father Baker who thanked the members for the change of meeting date. Father thanked the members who participated with the snow removal. Father share his thoughts about the Knights of Columbus and how important this organization is for the men of the council. Father talked about the Columbian Magazine and the articles in it and noted one of the inspiring articles. This being the year of Joseph, each month we will reflect on it. We prayed the Litany of St Joseph.
The minutes of November was approved with the correction of the Day of Wednesday not Monday for our meeting. Motion by Bud and a second by John motion carried.
The treasurer’s report was presented by Paul with our balance and the outstanding bills of the coats purchased and Tootsie Rolls. Motion by John and a second by Steve motion carried.
G/K DePorter will get with or District Deputy to set a date for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree from the Councils
Bud reported on the Fourth Degree and the next Exemplification will be held on March 6th. The booklet for this event is being discussed by the Assembly.
Bob P reported that there were 13 names to be added to the Veterans Plaque in the gathering space.
Preston reported on the St Joes Meal site and thanked Jay Finn for taking the lead as he was unable to be there. Preston also mentioned that the meal Jim Prochaska and his staff had to go through to put every meal in separate containers and then put in individual bags to be handed out. The few remaining meals was taken to the Rescue Mission.
There was discussion of a possible drive thru dinner of some sort.
Larry reported on the Guy Randazzo Memorial Golf Outing. This is set for June 19th at Highland Springs and Larry will have forms at next month’s meeting.
G/K DePorter talked about the Poster Event up at Jordan that he was a judge and three of the winners were from or Parish. There was discussion on something like that out at St Ambrose.
It was brought up that Greg Spreit is looking for greeters and ushers if anyone was interested.
Father Baker led the closing prayer.
